Springfield Dentist, Dr Matt VanderMolen, Encourages You To “Eat The Candy”

Following a productive night of trick-or-treating, most kids will come home with enough candy to equal a half-week’s worth of calories.  While eating your entire bucket of candy probably isn’t a good idea, Dr VanderMolen, as related to Fox News Illinois, “…eat some of the candy. Just remember to brush your teeth afterwards and remember to drink lots of water.”

Operation Gratitude: Saying Thank You

Here’s a little more background on the organization we’ll be supporting with our Halloween Candy Buyback, Operation Gratitude:

Remember, we’ll be collecting candy on Tuesday, November 3rd from 9am until 7pm. You’ll receive $1 for every pound of candy you bring in (up to 5lbs) and you’ll be eligible for raffle and door prizes just for coming in!

Halloween Candy Buy Back 2015

Just as we did last Halloween, everyone here at Advanced Dental Care of Springfield will be putting our money where our mouths are by participating in Operation Gratitude, the Halloween Candy Buyback program to help support our military personnel serving overseas.

Operation-GratitudeThis program gives trick-or-treaters the opportunity to exchange some or all of their Halloween haul for cash.  The collected candy will then be sent to Operation Gratitude in California where it will be sorted and repackaged and then distributed to troops serving overseas.

Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound, up to a five (5) pound limit, for all unopened, uneaten candy.  We also encourage the children to draw pictures and/or write letters or notes to include in the packages to our troops.

We will be collecting the candy on Tuesday, November 3rd from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm. Plus, there will be door prizes and raffle prizes when you come drop off your candy!
