Frequently Asked Questions
Providing education is one of the main goals of our practice, because when it comes to dentistry, many people simply don’t know what they don’t know! Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive every day. If you have a question that we haven’t covered here, just give us a call! We’re always happy to talk dentistry with you and make sure you know about all of your care options.
How often should my family come in for checkups and cleanings?
We recommend that everyone in your family over the age of three should have at least two checkups and cleanings per year. Some people require more based on their particular needs, but for most, two is enough to keep them protected from tooth decay, cavities, and gum disease.
Do you accept children?
Yes! Advanced Dental Care of Springfield strives to serve as many people in our community as possible, and that includes its youngest members! We can provide children with cavity prevention, monitor their oral development, and offer helpful education so they will form healthy habits at home.
What is the best way to replace my missing teeth?
The answer to this question will be different from individual to individual, but all of our doctors agree that dental implants are by far the most complete tooth replacement solution available today. They are the only treatment that restores a tooth both above and below the gum line, plus they can help replace any number of missing teeth and last for 30 years or more.
Am I stuck with my unreliable removable dentures?
No you’re not! Thanks to dental implants, we can give you a denture that is anchored directly to your jawbone just like natural teeth. The difference is mind-boggling for a patient who has only worn a traditional denture in the past. With an implant-retained denture, you’ll be able to speak normally, eat anything you like, and smile with complete confidence again.
Am I too old to get dental implants?
If you have a jaw, you can get dental implants no matter your age. If your jaw is thin or brittle for any reason, our practice can build it up with bone grafting to ensure it will safely support the implant posts. At Advanced Dental Care of Springfield, it’s never too late to have a big, bright, and beautiful smile!
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept a long list of dental insurance plans, and we can even help determine your out-of-pocket cost before we begin treatment so you can come see us knowing exactly what you’re expected to pay. We’ll make the process of saving on your care as simple and easy as possible!
Can I finance my dental care?
Yes! Our practice accepts CareCredit. With them, you can qualify for an easy to understand, low-to-no interest payment plan that helps your dental care fit easily into your budget. To explore your options, you can click the link on our new patients page.
